何謂磚到磚或框到框安裝方式?
窗戶更換方法(Window Replacement Method)
在安裝窗戶的業界中，窗戶有兩種普遍的更換方法(replacement method)，分別為框到框(frame to frame – retrofit)翻新安裝，以及磚到磚安裝(brick to brick replacement)。每種方法都有各自的優勢，我們將在下面花一些時間說明供各戶參考。
框到框安裝(Frame to Frame – Retrofit)
這是兩種安裝方法中較便宜的一種，通常建議給想要保留房屋現有外觀的客戶進行翻新安裝。在翻新安裝中，新窗戶將安裝到現有的框架中(existing frame)。此種安裝方式比較節省時間，且對房屋結構的侵入性較小。在窗外收尾的部分，會用鋁板(aluminum capping)包住原有的木頭窗框以防止原有木頭外框繼續腐爛或漏水。室內的部分，由於只需換窗因此可以保留原本窗台跟木槽板(jamb & casing)。雖然這是兩種選擇中較便宜的一種，但也不是所有的窗都可以適用這種翻新方法，唯有房子原先使用的是木頭窗戶才可以。

磚到磚安裝 (Brick to Brick)
磚到磚的翻新方法在兩者中屬於比較貴的安裝方式。安裝師傅會把現有的窗從外框拆到內框直到剩下牆本身的空洞後再安裝上全新的外框﹨窗 ﹨ 內框以及木槽板，才算完成了磚到磚的安裝。用磚到磚的安裝方式不僅不需要考慮到原本窗戶框架的狀況，並且可以完全解決之前窗戶本身的問題。若是目前的窗已經是使用塑鋼材料，則磚到磚翻新是客戶唯一的選擇。
Frame to Frame or retrofit replacement is more cost friendly method of the two. We usually recommend using this replacement method if the customer wants to keep the existing exterior look of the house and be less invasive with the replacement project. Our installation team will remove the existing window from the existing frame and use aluminum capping to cover the exterior exposed wood. This will ensure the wood is protected from further sun and rain damage. As for the interior of the house, it will be kept as it was previously as we are only replacing the window section of the whole opening. Although this is a cheaper method, it is not always suitable for every house.
As for brick to brick replacement method, though it is more expensive than retrofit replacement, it is a complete make over of the window opening. Our installation team will replace the existing window, brickmould, jamb and casing all together giving your window a fresh and new look. It will completely eliminate any previous issues you had with the window ensuring lasting comfort for many years to come.
